Just moving one step at a time

Can you believe we are already in August? Time just seems to be moving in fast forward…wish I could slow it down just a bit.

We are back home after 3 weeks of house-sitting for D & L (Danalyn’s parents). We enjoy it over there as we can go swimming every day. Well, we could if the weather would have cooperated. It is definitely summer here in Florida which means lots of thunderstorms!!! Hopefully they will stop soon.

Ron has continued with multiple doctor appointments and procedures. He saw the Gastro doc and he did a double procedure on Ron. The colonoscopy was CLEAR and he doesn’t need another one for three years. The endoscopy showed multiple lesions (no ulcers which had been thought would be there). They took 5 samples as biopsies – we should hear this next week the results of them. We are thinking “No news is good news.”

As of right now Ron has four appointments scheduled: cataract surgery with a follow up appointment and one with Dr. Hassanni, the oncologist. He has one appointment to get his labs drawn. August 18 is when Ron sees the oncologist and August 20 is his cataract surgery with follow up on August 21.

I am back at regular work hours which is wonderful. I will say the 7 weeks of 4 10’s was not as difficult this year as last. Not sure why the difference but I’m thankful for that.

July flew by but we are hoping that August doesn’t seem so rushed and busy.
