Hi! Have you missed me?

I can’t believe we are already two weeks into July!!! The time has flown by and yet been slow in some ways. Here’s a recap – brief at that BUT feel free to ask me questions!!!

I last posted in February ’26. In the middle of February Ron retired/quit his job with Pasco County School District. Let’s just say politics and a boss who thinks with something other than his brain was the main cause. To say it was scary YES, but also very freeing. During the month we both had multiple doctor’s appointments – getting old is not for the faint of heart but as we say quite often “it’s better than the alternative.” We continued dealing with the outcome of Ron’s accident. We had a rental car for three weeks, found and bought a new to us new car. it is a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. Since we have decided that our traveling days with an RV is over we did not need to get another pickup. IF and WHEN we need to move the trailer we can rent a truck or borrow one. It is definitely different than driving a truck. Most Saturday mornings found us watching T or A playing soccer.

March 2026 ~ doctor appointments continued for Ron who was trying to figure out why his back & shoulder brought a lot of pain. He had an MRI, x-rays and multiple doctor appointments. We also started attending Resonate Church on a more regular basis. It is a fairly small church and the people are FRIENDLY. We are thankful for finding a place to make friends, worship Poppa God and be encouraged by the sermons. We (well the RV repair man, Kyle) from Can Do Repair Man checked our AC and readied it for a hot summer. I think he did a couple of other things and we are thankful for the friendship we have with his mom, Dani, which led us to Kyle. If you are traveling and need some RV repair work/maintenance done give Kyle a shout out.

April ’26 began with Spring Break! We had lots of Grammy & Grandpa dates scheduled with C, T & A but Ron had a little mishap – while A was with us, we were eating leftover pizza for lunch and the next – Ron was choking, turning all sorts of colors thus 911 was called, A took care of Charlie and Ron went for an ambulance ride to the hospital. He was diagnosed with lung infection from aspirating on the pizza. He took a mini vacation and spent Easter weekend in the hospital. Many tests, pods and pokes and seeing more specialists than we knew existed he was released on April 6th.

It has not been easy on Ron as he left the hospital on O2, whenever he is up and moving and also while sleeping. We have no idea how long he will be on the O2 – but as his kids, grands and many others have said “better to have him on O2 and not sleeping 6′ below ground. And it also brought many doctor appointments. We continued to give thanks for the doctors who are treating him, having the $$ to cover the co-pays and being able to go on Intermittent FMLA so I can take off work without fear of losing my job due to absences. Something fun was that we got to housesit for D&L (D’s parents) while they made a trip out to Omak, Washington. We love having a swimming pool right outside the bedroom door!!!

May was full of kid activities: A had two concerts (A is in the green tie!) and he did great!!! Life at work was crazy as we wrapped up the 25-26 SY (just one stack of banker boxes – I think we had a total of 24 boxes of student records to be put into storage). And then C graduated from Angeline Academy of Innovation! (C giving his Salutatorian Speech!!!) (C showing all his awards/cords/diploma) and it brought the whole family together! We were so thankful for have a few days with B’s whole family, including Baby Bump M (due 9/9/26) and celebrate such a sweet young man. We are so proud of C! and all his accomplishments. He will be attending USF in August!! Studying Cybersecurity just like his dad!!!

June we found ourselves housesitting for B&D and enjoying their pool as well!!! Sprinkled between the fun activities we continued seeing doctors…hopefully the appointments will have more time between them.

And now we are in July!!!! We are housesitting once again for D’s parents. July brings with it 4×10 hour days at work for me. I can honestly say it is going better this year than last…at least I am not crawling into bed at 6:30p!!! And being able to spend my evenings with Ron, which is one of my biggest highlights in life.

As mentioned above we are looking forward to the arrival of Baby M!!! and watching our family continue to grow and love on each other!
