Trying New Things

Welcome to Saturday ~ made it through the week with just a few hiccups but how boring life would be if it always went smoothly?

Let’s back up to Friday afternoon – went to pick up Charlie from B & D’s place. Charlie was a naughty boy ~

I guess he thought he needed more fiber 😉 Alex kept saying “it’s okay, I can still read the words.” Charlie actually munched on three books. D said when she asked him what happened he slunk down and scooted away. When I got there to pick him up I said “Charlie what did you do today?” He put his head down, eyes down and walked away. He knew he did a no-no…so once I got home from their place I made a trip to Amazon and ordered three books for Alex. I asked Charlie how he was going to pay for them and he just licked my leg 😊 Good thing we love him!!!

Friday evening I just vegged in the recliner watching CourtTV and coloring on my phone – it’s one of the ways I relax. Before I knew it, it was 9:50 and Ron was walking in the door. We chatted a bit, finished watching Vinnie Politan, talked about Saturday and then we headed to bed. I slept well but boy was my arm sore this morning ~ I think tonight will be a recliner night.

We slept in this morning which was nice. Thank you M & M for the autofeeder for Charlie – no more having to get up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning – sleeping till 9:17 was wonderful! On the agenda today Ron will be leveling the trailer again…we have been stationary for about 2 1/2 months and the tub is no longer draining like it should (water is pooling at the back of the tub – that’s how we know we need to level it again). I get nervous when Ron is jacking it up, lowering and jacking it up again and my getting nervous makes Ron nervous so he sent me to Latte Vino for the morning. Today I tried something different ~ a blue coconut lotus – it sure is pretty, tastes a bit sweet so not sure I will have another one, it is definitely a treat!! And very coconutty 😂!

I’ve texted with Jamie this morning, encouraging him as he continues his journey to prepare to do a Marathon later this year! We are both so proud of him for sticking to his goal!! Wished PJ a Happy Birthday! and now I am sitting here writing my blog post for the day. Day 12 in a row!!! Can you believe it? What I can’t believe is how I am beginning to think of things I want to blog about and being excited about writing again.

Today A & T have basketball in the afternoon; not sure what else we will be doing today. I keep thinking I really want pizza – we will see if it wins out for dinner tonight. One of the things I do have to finish today is our taxes ~ ugh!! but it is what it is.

Update on J & K ~ J has been moved to the ICU, Kimberly is trying to remain positive, but it is so hard – please continue to pray for God’s protection and care over both of them.

Do you have any special plans for today? Remember to smile, it will make people wonder what you are up to 😉😊

  1. Just catching up, so sorry to hear about Kim and Jerry’s current situation. I’ll be holding them close to my heart. Thanks for keeping us updated, I lost the link to their blog some time ago. We did meet them many years ago in Bee’s Campground in Clermont, FL.

Sorry about the books but glad you had a good day!

  2. Good morning sweet friend!

Oh, those furbabies! The shenanigans they get into! Even when they know they aren’t supposed to do it. But, yes, we love them anyway and it’s a good thing they’re cute.

Tim had yesterday off so we did our shopping. That leaves today and tomorrow to get some stuff done around the house. He has his plans and I have mine. I’ve slowly started to clean winter off the deck and I’m hoping to finish that up, get some things moved around, and then start cleaning out the garden box. I have to get my beans in! But, I’m pretty wiped out from yesterday, so I’ll just get done what I get done.

Oh, if you want a hot tea drink sometime, instead of coffee, try a London Fog. It’s my new “go-to” when we hit Wood’s while shopping.

    Love you, m’dear!
