A Day of Catching Up

I love Saturday’s ~ we get to sleep in! Take things a bit slower and just hang with each other.

Today is our typical Saturday…sleep in, walk the dog, clean the kitchen, straighten up the trailer, run some errands. Today Ron is heading to Lowes to get some wood to stabilize our steps and to put a divider in the back of the truck so stuff stays closer to the tailgate. We just aren’t able to jump in the back of the truck to grab things – one of the many challenges of getting older.

Friday was payday so today is bill paying day – I am so thankful that today paying bills is not nearly as stressful as in years past. I can remember trying to juggle to make sure every obligation got paid something and wondering if there would be money to buy groceries or would we need to borrow from Peter to pay Paul.

This afternoon T & A have a basketball game and I am hoping we can spend some time in the pool. Swimming is one of my favorite activities.

Tomorrow Ron has to work (custodian while a church uses CSRMS) and then our regular grocery shopping trip to plan for the week and get ready to start all over again. I’m hoping while Ron is working tomorrow to be able to go swimming for an hour or so but that will depend on if the rain holds off ~ springtime in Florida often means unexpected showers so I will see what how the day goes.
