The battle lines have been drawn but the mice are winning!!! I hate mice!!!

Since Hurricane Milton our Little Home on Wheels has become a safe haven for those darn things!! We have tried wooden mouse traps – caught one! Plastic mouse traps – advertised as the best! NOPE not a one! We have tried two types of sticky type mouse traps – not a single one😒🤷‍♀️🤯😡🤬🤕how many ways to catch a thief mouse, who the heck knows???

We know he’s here because we clean up his little gifts and then find more. I heard something fall in the middle of the night ~ my response was “now what did he get into? Damn!” Found one of the sticky mouse traps on the floor when I got up.

And Charlie? He is such a scaredy one ~ we have seen him run and jump on the couch when we saw mr. mouse run to under the sink!!! Funny, not so much!!!

I hate mice!!!

Suggestions? I’m open! Drastic measures ~ send them my way!!!

Enough complaining! Three things I’m thankful for this morning:

  • The doctor has lowered my Basal insulin by 4 units to 30 in the morning and 28 at bedtime. Three years ago I was taking 90 units a day, so down to 58 overall is a great thing!
  • That my bosses wife wasn’t seriously injured in a car accident yesterday and that we work for a place that puts family first when it comes to choosing between work & family.
  • Only 53 days till we board NCL Encore for a week of celebrating: our 50th wedding anniversary, my niece’s 50th birthday, and crossing off one of the items that has been on Ron’s bucket list before we ever met!!!

Question of the day ~ what are you thankful for today? Okay two questions ~ how the heck do we get rid of this dang mouse?

    Some people think they are cruel, but my last resort is sticky traps. Right now we have multiple of these bait traps in every room and several kitchen cabinets. They’ve been there for a couple of years and you can see where the bait has been chewed. Then the mice go off to find water and die outside. https://amzn.to/4iZfYWV

    Fortunately, the 3-4 feral cats that roam our yard at night seem to have gotten rid of our issue this year.

    We use an electronic mouse trap under the house. The rodent crawls in and gets zapped and dies instantly. The one we have sends a signal to Tim’s phone when it’s been tripped. Please don’t use bait/poison traps. The rodent doesn’t die instantly and crawls away. If a cat or bird or other animal catches and eats it, it also gets poisoned and dies. And, it’s a slow, horrible death.
