Today has been a day…found out that my MacAir was toast, totally gone 😦 that’s the difficult stuff from the day – but hey, the good is that I didn’t lose my cool in any way shape or form with the computer guy, went to Walmart, bought a new laptop – amazed at how God works through things. I had been sending pics to Brandon, Danalyn and Ron seeking some type of advice for what to buy…I didn’t hear from anyone so decided to buy one that was (per the website) in stock…but alas, not in stock…those who have known me for any amount of time would be so proud of me…no yelling, one little swear word which I apologized for, no frustration, spoke calmly to the clerk and then got a text from Brandon to get the Acer for the price – best one of the three.
Thank you Jesus for not letting the Asus computer be in stock, instead I got the one that Brandon thought was the best deal. Thank you Jesus we had the money in the back to buy the laptop. Thank you Jesus that my blood sugar didn’t drop while in Walmart. Bought the laptop and headed home.
Charlie greeted me at the door with a look of “uh oh, he messed up” but I responded with grabbing the leash and making a quick trip outside with him for him to do his business. Got back in the trailer and found a gift from him LOL but I didn’t yell at him, not his fault I was almost 90 minutes later than usual. Gave him a treat for doing his business outside after I got home, cleaned up his gift inside the trailer, fed him and gave him a couple of hugs. No losing my temper having to clean up his mess.
Made dinner – thank you B & D for the leftovers; the egg & sausage casserole was yummy and the tater tot casserole was delicious!! Talked to Ron while eating (thankful he likes his job and he was having a good day! Told him I thought about going to Culvers to get an ice cream but didn’t, thought of going through McDonalds but instead turned on some worship music and drove home and heated up the delicious leftovers from B & D.
Another good today – I didn’t say “I am or was tired” at all today! First day I have not said those words in a very long time!!! Spent about 3 1/2 hours setting up the new laptop, still need to figure out how to sync my Quicken web to the new desktop – that will be a call to Quicken tomorrow after work.
We have done a couple of things in the past couple of weeks ~ made reservations, paid the down payment for a cruise for May 2025 – to celebrate our 50th anniversary (actual anniversary is December 2025) – we are going to Alaska from Seattle and back and we are going to be doing with my niece and her hubby – can’t wait to spend some time with them both – it’s been quite a few years since we have seen her – one big thing to look forward to. Along with the cruise we are going to tag 5 or 6 days to our trip and make our way up to Blaine…another visit long overdue!
This past Saturday we took a small road trip to Sarasota and went to the Der Dutchman store and restaurant – it was fun to get some Amish homemade noodles as well we went to Yoders to buy a few things – was a little disappointed ~ it wasn’t as big as we thought it would be (pictures seem to be misleading) but that was okay because we were able to spend the day together just relaxing!
Now that I have rambled for a bit and the clock has ticked over to past 10:00 this lady needs to head to bed…6:00a comes super duper early!!
*******
Question for you?
Got any big plans for the coming year?
