Hurricane Update ~ Not

We are happy to say we missed the brunt of the Hurricane Idalia but are praying for those in the northern parts of Florida and Georgia as it lands there. We have seen lots of pictures of lots of flooding along the coast.

Monday night the evacuation order came for those living in mobile homes/RV’s. Shortly after we got a text from B asking if we wanted to come and hanker down at their place for the duration. Monday found us, or should I say Ron, putting the lawn chairs, tables and other goodies in our little storage shed. I was busy closing blinds, emptying the trash and doing dishes. We made our way over to B & D’s about 11:00am on Tuesday.

I enjoyed hanging with the grands and we all watched a Harry Potter movie – don’t ask me, I only partially watched but the boys enjoyed it and that’s what matters!!! Christopher made popcorn for all to enjoy…well B had blackberry & blueberry cobbler.

We were under a Hurricane and Tornado warning for all of yesterday and most of today. We have had lots and lots of rain, some super loud thunder claps and a bit of wind but nothing like it could have been and for that we are thankful. Ron and I will head back to our little home on wheels this evening. We continue to get lightning alerts and probably will for the rest of the day.

One nice thing with the hurricane threat our temperatures have cooled down nicely. I don’t mind the heat, it’s when it gets so humid that you get drenched just walking from the trailer to the truck it’s no fun.

Job hunt ~ I continue to look for work, currently have an application in at the school where Treyson and Christopher attend as Registrar. I hope to hear something the end of this week or early next week. That would be a convenient job as then I could transport the boys to and from school while transporting myself to work. We will continue to pray for the right job to come along.

Until then I guess that’s about it from Central Florida!! Wishing each of you a blessed day!!!
