Today we are having a pretty quiet Sunday at home. The past few days, my word from a few years ago was so important ~ FLEXIBLE
On Thursday Ron had his chiropractor appointment, we did the pick up kids in the afternoon camp run…Treyson was home as he wasn’t feeling too good so we picked up Christopher and Alexander. Both said their day was a good one! Christopher has been attending basketball camp and Alexander was attending Summer Fun.
After picking up the boys we headed back to the trailer, picked up Charlie and headed over to the kids’ house. After Danalyn got home we had a delightful dinner of salad, mixed vegetables and bbq pork chops that Danalyn had cooked in the crockpot.
We started talking about Friday…we were thinking of going out for a play date when Danalyn said…wait you said you would stay with the boys tomorrow and tomorrow night as she was going out of town for work and Brandon wasn’t due home till after midnight from his business trip…oh okay, guess this Grammy had a brain fart LOL
FLEXIBILITY ~ good thing I have learned to be flexible and not freak out when plans change unexpectedly or expectedly…so Ron returned to the trailer, grabbed our laundry, medication, my crocheting 😃 (can’t go anywhere without my crocheting).
Friday morning Danalyn left close to 8:00a, dropping Alex off at Summer Fun Camp and headed to Orlando. Treyson, Christopher, Grammy & Grandpa all slept in till almost 10:00a!!! I think we were all tired.
Friday was just a low keyed day with the boys, Grandpa took the golf cart and went to Publix and got donuts…yummy!!! Grammy picked up Alex and then headed back to the house to make dinner. Together, we (Alex and Grammy) made chicken chow mein from scratch! It turned out pretty good.
Then it was game time…Alex, Chris, Grammy and Grandpa played
and
while Treyson was playing a video game with a friend online.
Danalyn called to check on the kids, also letting us know she was sick…UGH! so Treyson took a Covid test to double check ~ and yep, he tested positive. So off to his room with a water bottle and the room purifier added to his room and we settled down for the night.
Brandon got home late Friday night and we all called it a night. Ron woke up on Saturday not feeling well so he took a Covid test – his was negative, Danalyn arrived home, her Covid test was positive…no fun to be sick or be around sick ones.
Ron and I returned Saturday and decided to just have a day of rest…Ron napped and I crocheted. Made a dinner of cheese burgers and fruit salad.
We headed to bed about 9:30p. Sunday morning arrived…I had a headache and Ron said he was feeling a bit better but shortly after getting up, he started feeling achy again so he decided to call in sick and have one more day of rest.
That’s how I came to Simple Sunday ~ a day of rest, binge watching Dateline and crocheting…just a simple day!!!

How are you spending your Sunday?
