Tuesday Talk ~

What a beautiful morning to wake up here in Land O Lakes, Florida ~ there is a nice breeze blowing. I remember someone told me once when I was a little girl that when you feel a slight breeze blowing across your face it is Jesus sending you a kiss…so this morning I take Jesus’ kiss of love!!!

The theme for today’s Bible study is God’s Promises. From “Living a Chocolate Life” the question was asked ~ Do you ever notice how quickly we grab onto the latest promise, believing it because it sounds so good?* Think of the latest fad diet – do this and you will lose 50 lbs in 30 days, the promises keep coming….but in reality the promises we need to grab onto are the ones from Jesus ~ He promises to love us and be with us forever, never to leave us!!! Now that’s a pretty good promise!!

Some of the promises I read about this morning – God promised Abraham & Sarah they would become parents. They kept the faith for many years and when Abraham was 100 years old God fulfilled his promise and Isaac was born!!

In Isaiah God promises to send us a Savior and in God’s timing (not ours) He sent His Son (John 3:16)

Another thing that kept resonating through my time in the Word this morning “In God’s Timing…” I know I get so impatient at times when things don’t happen when I think they should happen but I am reminded it is not my time schedule but God’s time schedule; He knows just what I need, right when I need it.

I shared yesterday on Facebook how thankful I am for God’s healing of Ron’s leg ~ from March 24 to May 27th
So thankful for God’s healing ~ it is almost totally closed up. And really the scar doesn’t even look too bad. Thank you Jesus!!!

I’ve been thinking about a journal I used to keep ~ a gratitude journal where I would write down three to five things I’m thankful for at the end of each day and I thought maybe I should start my day with being thankful, being grateful for how God loves me, takes care of me/us and how by starting my day off with positive thoughts my days just might go better! Can’t hurt right?

Today I am thankful for…

• the kiss from Jesus along my cheek as I walked CharlieBoy this morning
• the healing that is so clearly of the Lord of Ron’s leg
• for a new friend I made at Bible study and the invite to go have coffee this morning
• for the hard sleep I got last night!!!
