Today I am thankful for the little things. One of the gals here in the park volunteers at the local senior center/nutrition center on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. And the nutrition center posts a monthly calendar. If there is something on the menu that sounds pretty good Jan will pick up lunch for us. Well it lunch at the nutrition center but dinner for us. And all for $3 for each meal.
Last week the menu for November came out and today’s lunch was chicken fried steak and all the trimmings. So we sent our $6 to Jan and she brought lunch/dinner home for us. And what a blessing it was for us. Ron is still battling that cold and he took a two hour nap after work. I went to the clubhouse and visited for a little while and then came back. Ron was still sleeping so I quietly heated up the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli…it was yummy.
Thank you Jan for picking up our lunch/dinner. You always say it is nothing, just a little thing you can do…but for us today it was a big thing. Thank you for being a blessing for/to us today.
