Today ~ 50 years + 1 month

Sounds like I’m telling someone how old a baby is 😊

I’ve been trying to think of how to end this series “REFLECTIONS ~ 50 Years of Marriage” and I’m not quite sure how to go about that.

Where are we today? ~ we are living in Lutz, FL (about 20 miles north of Tampa – at least that’s what Ron keeps telling me as I think we are south of Tampa 😃)

What are we doing? ~ that’s a loaded question but here goes ~
~ We both work for Pasco County School District; Ron is at Rushe MS working as a custodian; I am at the District Office and working as the Office Assistant to the School Psychologist Supervisor. The only downside to our jobs is that I work days (8 to 4:30) and Ron works evenings (2 to 10:30) so we don’t get a chance to talk much so we text a lot.
~ We are active as Grammy and Grandpa to our local grands going to soccer games, having movie nights & sleepovers, I have been doing the Boys Basketball team where C is playing his SR Year!!! We go to B & D’s home quite often to enjoy a meal, have family game nights, Grandpa watches SeaHawks football with B & C and we take the boys out to eat ~ each as their favorite place: C likes anyplace that serves good bacon cheeseburgers, T loves the cinnamon swirl pancakes at Breakfast Station and A loves to go to the Chinese All You Can Eat for sushi and all the ice cream he can devour.
~ We love chatting with J and his family and hearing about their life in Ferndale, WA.
~ Another thing we are enjoying is a picture frame that both the kids and their families can add pictures…when new pictures are added it plays music which we had to ask why every once in a while, we hear music from out of nowhere.
~ Quite often we meet up and Dan & Lynda’s (D’s parents) at their home for family dinners and to watch a good movie which also involves Ron taking a snooze though he will tell you he is checking his eyelids for holes 🤣😉
~ We enjoy living in Our Little Home on Wheels

~ We enjoy going for drives but haven’t done as many as we used to when we were living/working out on the road. We bought a book “Day Trips from Tampa” and already have a couple of dates lined up.
~ We enjoy chatting on the phone with M & M who now live in Colorado Springs and also keeping up with friends and family all over the US via text & Facebook.
~ I do a lot of crocheting though I did lose my mojo for about 5 months but I’m happy to say it is back and I find myself crocheting sometimes for just 15 minutes or even a few hours. One of my projects is to share ALL the pictures of all the crochet projects I have completed. Someone asked me once why I didn’t sell on Esty, I said then it would feel like a job and not just because I want to. In saying that, I love to make things for friends and family so if you have something in mind, please let me know.
~ And most of all we give Thanks to Poppa God that we are both alive, pretty healthy except for the “getting old stuff” and loving on those who we come into contact with whether at church, here in the park, at sporting events, walking to the dog park and just living life.

My desire and goal is to write at least 3x a week here on my blog about life, how Poppa God is working in our lives, some of our day trips and just how we live life.
