We left Blaine early this morning and made our way to Seattle. The weather this week has been wonderful…we had some drizzle yesterday and today lots of “spitting rain.” As we drove down I5 we commented a lot on things we remembered like the big chicken farm – the barns are still there but no more chickens. We laughed at the Stillaguamish – is still there – it’s an old Washington peeps joke.
We stopped at the rest area that we have stopped at a zillion times from all our trips from Pierce & King County when we would go up to see Ron’s parents. And then we were in Seattle traffic – never changing always busy. We drove to the hotel, Marriot on the Waterfront. Ron walked in with me and we got checked in. Our room wasn’t quite ready so I was given access to the Platinum Lobby (thanks Brandon & Danalyn!) and shortly after settling in I got a text our room was ready.
I made my way to the room, enjoyed the quiet and the view – pictures to come later – of the NCL Bliss at Pier 66, where NCL Encore will be tomorrow morning. I knew cruise ships were huge but oh my goodness I didn’t realize how big!!!
I am hoping to be able to post something on Sunday once we are aboard the cruise ship but I’m not sure.
Reminding y’all – we won’t have much internet while on the cruise but I promise to take lots of pictures and share them once we are back in Florida!
