Days 6 & 7 of Vacation

Thursday (Day 6) was a fun day…I spent the day with my Bestie, drinking coffee, laughing and trying to solve all the world’s problems. Don’t think we solved the problems, but we sure had fun chatting, chatting, drinking more coffee and then a lunch of fresh fruit, onion rings, egg rolls, sliced salami & cheese! While I was busy visiting with D…Ron was off to Anacortes with Jamie for an appointment. I heard they drank a lot of coffee, had a good lunch at Silver Reef Casino and drank even more coffee.

In the evening we headed to Bellingham to visit with K & D…we laughed, shared adventures, and a delicious dinner of spaghetti w/meat sauce, homemade applesauce and garlic bread. Dessert was lemon cake w/fresh strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. Before we knew it, it was almost 9:00p – I had promised K that we would be out the door before 8p!!! We laughed about that, gave lots of hugs and thanked each other for the great evening.

Friday (Day7) was another fun day of visiting and eating…are you noticing the theme? Love visiting! Love eating! But am especially enjoying the visiting, reminiscing and updating with so many family & friends.

First thing up was heading to pick up M & J. Hugs were exchanged and then we headed to Cedars for breakfast. Great breakfast and even better conversation. Cedars is quite the busy cafe so we headed back to M & J’s home about 10:30. Visiting continued until about noon…hard to say goodbye. And as M said “her & J are now it!! They have visited us in Florida, we came to Blaine so they are up next! 😊😉😁

We then went to see Ron’s cousins sons wife 😉again great to give hugs and so some catching up. We also got to play with a kitty and their dog (don’t remember their names) and then I brought some of the dog home with me ~ blond fur on my black leggings!!

On the way back to K & J’s place for a family dinner we stopped at three grocery stores as we were looking for a fruit platter. None, nope, no where to be found. So we picked up some ambrosia salad, pistachio pudding salad and raspberry jello salad.

In the evening we spent it with family…K & J were there, both of K’s kids and their spouses and kids were there along with K’s grandson M and his sweet wife. It was nice to see everyone and get caught up with what everyone is doing.

After everyone left for their homes, Ron and I got our laundry done and repacked the suitcases and got things ready for Saturday. Two more sleeps and we board the NCL Encore!!
