Vacation Day 2 ~

Our plans for yesterday were to get up and go to Northwood Chapel (formerly Northwood Alliance Church) but Saturday night I was so exhausted when I went to bed we had a contingency plan – if we woke up on time would go to church, if not Ron would let me sleep.

I woke up just before 8:30a and so we got ready for church and off we went. It was wonderful getting hugs from Conny and Dana and so many others. The surprise look on faces was priceless…Chris Olason and Trish F – gave great hugs too! Loved surprising so many others: Lauri, Brendan, Tim & Cindy, Kay Dee and others. We knew Charles and Margaret were not going to be there but we did connect with Jonathan and “officially met his two kiddo’s.” And seeing how Krista’s littles are not so little anymore! What a joy to see both of them participating in the service. And to meet Pastor Todd! We have been friends on Facebook for quite a few years but had never met in person. It was nice to connect in person and we really enjoyed the sermon. It was the first 8 verses of Psalm 119. Walk in His Ways.

After the service we visited with quite a few people and just like normal we were two of the last few to leave. Old habits are hard to change 😂. After church we headed back to K & J’s. After lunch of leftover pizza, I took a much needed nap. Kathy made a delicious dinner of roasted pork roast, pea salad and hashbrown casserole. We watched TV for a bit, I finished a dishcloth (have to crochet you know) and then I headed to bed about 8:00p. I think I was out before 8:30p!!!

Vacation Day 2 is in the books. We feel very blessed to be able to spend time with family and friends.
