1 Down, 3 to Go

~ work days that is. Yesterday was a long day and I started going to downhill about 3:30…the last two hours I found my mind wandering and not being able to concentrate so I stopped working on the TEALs and did some other stuff…that helped me to focus better.

Today will be interesting as we have a secretaries meeting (virtually) with our director to hear about the reorganization happening in the SSPS department and other areas of the district office. I’m not expecting any surprises but if you can, say a prayer for Y – she is concerned about her job status and I keep trying to encourage her that I’m sure if things were changing with her job she would be told privately first. Y is a single mom and tries to hard to do what is right in all circumstances…I hate seeing her stressing.

Yesterday I got a sweet card from my boss J – he thanked me for all that I do and how much he appreciates how I take care of the psychologists and others in our department. I am truly blessed to have him as my boss – God has truly blessed me in this position. I mentioned having only 19 days till we leave on our trip and he said something about “not thinking about it.” I am definitely not thinking about all the TEALs that will be waiting for me. But I have found a place for staff to put them while I am gone so my desk shouldn’t get too over crowded.

Today, all the secretaries are going to lunch at Lakeview Cafe (the culinary facility here on the School District Campus and Land O Lakes HS – it is a thankyou from leadership in recognition of Administrative Assistant Day.

Yesterday the Leadership Team provided all the fixings for Trail Mix…it was fun to hike (walk) along the trail filling our treat bags and everything tasted delicious.

Received an email invite to a Ladies Fellowship group with one of my friends here in LOL…I didn’t even hesitate, signed up, paid my registration and sent B a note saying thank you for inviting me. I know it is God’s way of acknowledging the conversations Ron and I have been having regarding connecting with a body of believers here locally. The event, The Well, is happening on June 7th so I have that to look forward to after our return from Washington & Alaska. Did I tell you – 18 days till we get on that jet plane!!! (yes, that song is running through my head 😉🤣😂❤️
