Getting Old = Lots of Doctor Appointments

Yesterday Ron and I both had our doctor appointments – all of Ron’s labs looked great…his A1C was 5.7!!! At the beginning of his appointment he was given three words: village, kitchen & baby to memorize. His heart sounded great, his lungs were clear and best of all his PSA was 1.5 and it hadn’t changed in the last year!!! That is the best news, especially with the history of cancer in his uncles and himself. At the end of his appointment he was asked what were the three words? He rattled them off and Dr. Amy said his mind was perfect! We both chuckled as she doesn’t know about the phone, keys & coffee cup song 🤣😂. If you know, you know 😊

My appointment went well. I already knew my A1C was down to 6.2 – Dr. Amy was quite impressed how quickly I was able to get it under control with the CGM. My heart sounded good, my lungs were clear and no swelling in my legs. In fact, she has lowered my Toujeo another 2 units at night…so now I am taking 30 u in the morning and 26 u in the evening. Last night I had absolutely no lows – that sure beats the nights I’ve had 10+ alerts going off. And for that I am very thankful.

While we were out running errands, we stopped by Walmart to get Ron a new pair of jeans, two pair of leggings for me and I also got three tops – they are all for the cruise, but the three tops will also work great for work. One is a white long sleeve blouse where you can cuff the sleeves…that is a multi-wear top as I can wear it over tank tops to work and with 90*+ weather coming soon that will be nice.

We also picked up some dog food…some for home and a little bag to leave for Charlie when he is at B & D’s.

Back at the house we ate spaghetti and meatballs – Chris had made them the other night so we finished up the leftovers.

We then rested, rested and rested some more. I went to bed just after 8p and slept hard until 12:19 then it was awake every couple of hours. When I finally got out of bed at 7:45 this morning I felt rested.

The dogs have been fed, Ron and I each had a breakfast burrito and now we are getting ready to head out for my eye doctor appointment. I know I need new glasses because I have been having my nose pressed against the computer screen because I can’t read the screen while standing up (means I can’t use my stand up desk) or even just sitting in a regular chair at the desk. My wish is that they arrive before we head to Seattle.

Have a blessed day!!! And remember

Sunday is Coming!!
