2 Down, 2 to Go!

These 10-hour days are a butt kicker! But I’ve made it halfway through this week and there are only 2 days left this week and then we can sleep in😉

Yesterday’s dinner was sort of crazy: a bagel with garden vegetable cream cheese, a medium size dill pickle and a slice of pizza I found buried in the fridge. I have no idea when that was from, but I ate it anyway 🤣 and then played a few mahjong games on my phone and crawled into bed. It was just after 8p!

I slept hard but got woke up just after midnight to my CGM alarm…extreme low…down to 53! Not good. Two glucose tablets and 2 cheesesticks and I finally stopped sweating…thought I was back in the days of menopause 😒I think I fell back asleep about 1:00 and when the alarm went off at 5:30a I couldn’t believe it!! YES, I had changed my alarm from 5:15 to 5:30 after my late midnight wake up.

On the way home from work, I got a text from Felicia telling me Ron was having a hard day at work. I texted him and then talked to him after I got home. They were told today that everyone’s hours are being cut as of July 1. Going from 40 hours a week to 35 – not a lot but enough that he is rethinking working every other Sunday…without 40 hours a week Sundays would not be overtime ~ that’s what makes it worthwhile. I told him, don’t worry about it now. A decision doesn’t have to be made, keep his eye on the calendar ~~ in only 32 days we will be boarding the NCL Encore, seeing my niece (it’s been years) and crossing off one of his BIG bucket list items – seeing Alaska.

Plus that means in 25 days we will be getting on that jet plane and heading to Seattle to reconnect with family and friends. Can’t wait to see our son, Jamie and his little family, eat dinner at Paso Del Norte and take a walk along the walkway of the beach in Semiahmoo!!

Thinking of walking in Semiahmoo, I should find the story I wrote “Walking the Dog, Walking with God” – oh the memories: lots of rain, lots of tears and a wet dog on top of that!!!

Got a text from my friend, T yesterday…she wanted to know if everything was okay, she hadn’t seen any posts by me on Facebook ~ I chuckled to myself as it has been just over two months since I have spent any amount of time on Facebook. I do go on and check on our friends K&J – keep praying as he is now dealing with a massive allergic reaction to one of the meds they put him on ~ he is covered in blisters😥😥 and K is tired in every way possible. Pray that J can get stable enough, that the MRSA would leave his body and he can be moved to a rehab center and for strength for K: physically, emotionally and spiritually. One of the issues, they and those of us who have chosen the RV lifestyle deal with is we are usually not near family or friends when things happen…and that’s where K finds herself. They are in Apache Junction and feel truly alone.

I also check on some of our Men Breast Cancer guys who are dealing with their own issues and continuing the big fight against c!

Back to more details about our trip to Seattle, Blaine and then Alaska. If you are in Western WA, specifically Whatcom or Skagit county and want to get together give us a shout out or leave a message here on our blog. And of course, you can always text or call as our phone numbers are still the same!!! We would love to connect with as many friends & family as possible.

Did you know today is

Yep, it’s a thing the 3rd Wednesday of April each year!!!

My contribution to the Banana feast is a bag of banana chips but am selfishly hoping someone brings some homemade banana bread or cake 🍌

Are you going to celebrate National Banana Day? If so, how?

Well Charlie is sitting here staring at me, guess he wants to go out for his morning walk and then I need to head to work…wishing each of you a great and happy Wednesday!!!

Please let me know what you think?
