And Just Like that it’s Monday!

First off ~ celebrate with me: my A1C was 6.2!! That makes me smile and I’m sure will make my doctor happy when I see her on Friday. Especially since my A1C in early January was 8.0 🤕 I knew wearing the CGM made a difference I just didn’t know how much!.

Now it’s Monday! We had a great weekend and I’m thankful for that. This week our schedules will be a bit different. Monday thru Thursday we are working 10-hour days and then have a four-day weekend! Those are always nice. Then next week Tuesday thru Friday we will work another 4 10-hour days.

Our four-day weekend includes grand-pup sitting as B & D are taking the three boys to Universal Studios for a mini-vacation. We don’t mind as we have use of their laundry room – which saves us about $20 a week plus Charlie can use the doggy door so no early morning or late night “must go for a walk.”😊

One of the benefits of working the longer hours is that I can hopefully focus on getting some of those TEAL’s done! I did a little contest with our interns and psychologists ~ How many TEAL’s have I processed since 8/5 (the first day of school) thru 3/31/25? All guesses needed to be in by this morning so I can’t post the answer here yet (you never know who might be reading my blog 🤣). The guesses have been as low as 133 and as high as 3457. Answer to come tomorrow. If you are new to reading my blog ~ TEAL’s are the folders the school psychologists turn in with evaluations and reports and I put them in the students’ permanent digital records.

The downside to the 4 10-hour days is that I tend to not do much once I am home from work. Walk Charlie, eat dinner, get ready for bed and crash! But the anticipation of a 4-day work week brings a smile to my face.

Update on K & J – J continues to make healing progress, in fact they are talking about sending him to rehab soon. Please keep them in your prayers. While you are praying for them, please add C & D (no relation) to your prayers as they continue to walk their journey of dealing with metastasized breast cancer. The journey is definitely filled with highs and lows and long difficult days ~ pray for peace, rest and all their needs to be met and for healing ~ whatever that looks like in Jesus’ plan.

Guess that’s all from this little spot in Florida we now call home! Have a great day. Remember to smile – it makes people wonder what you are up to 😉

Please let me know what you think?
