Yeah! It’s Friday!!!

It took a month of Sundays to get to Friday! But we made it!!! I don’t know how many people at work alluded to the long & hard week…but we made it!!

Before going to work today I have to go to Labcorp to get some blood work done for my doctor’s appointment next Friday. I’m anxious to see what my A1C is since I have been using my CGM for almost three months now. I’ve been trying to be very aware of what I’m eating, been doing a bit more walking on my breaks at work and a month ago my doctor tweaked my Toujeo insulin. I know that the past few weeks I haven’t had the lows like I was in January & February.

Ron had his blood work done on Thursday as he too will be seeing the doctor next Friday.

The BIG NEWS ~ our passports arrived!!!! Now the excitement is building even more! 30 days and we will be heading to Seattle!!! 38 days till we board the Norwegian Cruise Lines Encore for our trip to Alaska! I am so excited to see our son, Jamie and his sweetie S and granddaughter O. I don’t if we will see them on Saturday as we don’t know exactly when we will arrive in Blaine.

I know on Sunday we are planning to go to our home church. Northwood Alliance Church as we have known it for years. I know a few years ago the name was changed to Northwood Chapel. But most of all we are so excited to reconnect with our church family!

The only other thing that is planned between 5/10 to the morning of 5/17 is we are gathering as a family on Friday, May 16 to see Ron’s two sisters and other family members who are in the area. I do know I will be having a coffee date or two with my Bestie as well as popping in to see other friends and of course, going to Paso Del Norte for one of my favorite dishes: Pollo Con Creme!

With that being said, if you are in Whatcom or Skagit County and want to get together give us a shout out either via text, email, comment on this post or phone call.

But before our big vacation in May we have some things to look forward to right here in Florida. This weekend, grandson A will be hanging with us Saturday and Sunday. I’m sure we will go to the pool, watch a movie or two, and we are planning to go to an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday morning.

But before we can even have some time with A we need to go to work 😊today and it’s almost time for me to walk out the door!

Wishing y’all a great day!!! And don’t forget, if you are in Whatcom or Skagit county and want to get together please reach out!

  1. Our cruise to Alaska was in late May and we lucked into sunny weather but still chilly. Don’t forget hat, scarf, and gloves as well as layers for warmth. A lightweight rain jacket is good, too. Can’t wait to hear all about it!Donna: Click for my 2025 A-Z Blog
