Weekends Go By TOO Fast

Weekends are good; they allow us/me to sleep in and I did both Saturday and Sunday. I also spent a lot of time resting during the day as I pay when I sleep in our bed. Which I did Friday & Saturday nights ~ my arm and shoulder hurt so bad when I wake up, but I slept well – and it is worth it. Sort of. Last night I slept in the recliner and this morning my shoulder is a little sore but not nearly as bad as the past two mornings.

Saturday Ron got the trailer leveled – so glad we are not tilting to the left anymore 😂and then in the afternoon he went to the boys basketball game – they won 19 to 15! Once he was back home we just vegged and both of us took a nap – just what weekends are made for.

Sunday was a crapshoot ~ the converter went out in the Little Home on Wheels which caused the fridge, the air conditioner and all the outlets in the living/kitchen to not work. Ron ran an extra power cord to the fridge and pedestal so we at least have a working fridge! The AC is another thing…so we did the only thing we could do, we opened all the windows, took a nap and then went swimming for 2 1/2 hours.

Visited with a couple from Maryland – they are leaving Thursday morning. We swam, got chilled so warmed up in the hot tub and then got hot so we cooled off with a cool shower. And then we returned to the trailer – it was 81 degrees so not too bad. I slept in the recliner as I needed to feel good enough to go to work today ~ no air conditioner so I slept with the living room door open…it only cooled down to 78 degrees inside the Little Home on Wheels. But it was nice and I slept pretty well.

We haven’t heard or seen any evidence from our unwanted little critter and that is a good thing!!!

And now here it is Monday morning again. This week we work our regular hours then we have two weeks of 4 ~ 10’s but that means there’s a four-day weekend in there! Always nice to have.

Today Ron is going to work on the converter or at least hopefully, figure out if its just one of the breakers that’s bad or if we have to replace the whole thing. We did that shortly after we bought our Little Home on Wheels (LHW). Thank goodness we are supposed to have cooler weather this week ~ I sure hope the weatherman is correct on this.

Say a prayer that it will be an easy fix…so thankful we have our emergency fund just for occasions like this.

I don’t know much else except I did check out our Cruise countdown and we only have 40 more sleeps till we board the ship!!! As I was writing out “40” it brought back many memories of our time as House Parents ~ that is how we counted time till we were off.

Do you have a favorite way to count down for a big event?
