Prayer Request for some special friends…

If you have read my blog for any length of time you know that I believe in the power of prayer and today I come asking for prayer for some special friends of ours.

I don’t remember how we met K & J, I know it was through my blog and reading K’s blog…and that we have known each other since we first started fulltime traveling with our RV which was Fall 2009.

When we first began traveling, we didn’t have a car to pull behind our motorhome plus we didn’t really have a car that we could pull behind the motorhome. Our first season of real traveling was when we worked for Funtastic Shows ~ oh the memories that are flooding my mind.

Back to K & J ~ after traveling with the carnival for a season we got ourselves a Jeep – it was a fun vehicle to drive. The problem was it meant we both had to drive ~ Ron the motorhome, me the Jeep. It’s fine for short trips but long trips not so fun at all.

I had blogged that we were looking for a tow set up to tow our Jeep – it was a stick so it could be towed, 4 down without any special tools. But our search kept bringing us back to “we don’t have the money to get what would work best for us.”

But Poppa God knows our every need. One day, we got an email from K & J, saying they had a deal for us, after emails back and forth a few times our prayers were answered in an unexpected way. That tow bar set up worked wonderfully for us for many years. Any time we talked about towing the Jeep we shared how we were so blessed by friends and Poppa God. That situation was just one of many of how Poppa God has taken care of us and through friends “we just happened to meet.” I say happened, but we know who orchestrated everything in His time.

We have never met K & J in person – our physical paths have never crossed – we were in Texas, they were in Arizona/California…we moved to Missouri and they went to the Midwest. But we have always stayed in touch, sharing our lives through our blogs and on Facebook. Over the years we haven’t chatted as often as we once did…but we always have fond memories of all our interactions.

Now to the business at hand…K & J could really use our prayers.

What we think is impossible is POSSIBLE with God!

Both of them have been quite ill for a while, K started to feel somewhat better but J ended up in the hospital and was just diagnosed with MRSA and it is ravaging his body.

Our prayer is that Poppa God will first and foremost keep them close to Him during this difficult time. Provide the best medical care they need and for his special peace that passes all understanding…it is a scary time for them, J is literally fighting for his life. K is right there with him. In her humanness, K is scared (and wouldn’t we all be in that situation) but she knows Poppa God knows her heart, knows J’s heart and knows exactly what is needed for each of them: physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially – you name it, Poppa God knows!!

Please join us in praying for that peace that passes all understanding for J & K and for healing, however Poppa God sees that happening. Thank you for your prayers.
