I want to begin with a prayer request: I have been praying specifically for our need of $600 to purchase two new tires for our truck (need four, but two for sure are almost totally bald).
I got word this afternoon that I have a job interview via Zoom at 8:30a on Wednesday, 10/25 for the Office Assistant position at a local elementary school – Pine View Elementary. This would not just answer the prayer regarding the necessary funds to get the tires, but it would be a big help in meeting our monthly financial obligations. As well, I would have the same days off as Ron and when the grands are off from school.
Thank you for praying for God’s favor as I do the interview and am considered for the position. I have always enjoyed working in the school setting and have many great memories of working in all four schools within the Blaine School District and would love to make more school memories.
I have a question ~ do you have projects you want to do? need to do? but you keep putting it off for any number of reasons? I know I do. But I’m happy to say this past weekend, Ron and I tackled one of our big, BIG projects that has been put on the back burner for way too long. BUT this weekend we tackled and got all of our filing done, found some paperwork we had been looking for and got ourselves a little bit more organized! I must say it feels good to not look at the two boxes that sat in front of the TV for who knows how long!!
One of the highlights of my Monday’s is picking up grandson, Alex,
from school. Today we played Boggle, Uno and Dutch Blitz ~ which he whipped my butt in! Had Bones Mac N Cheese w/extra cheese. When I say extra cheese I mean EXTRA ~ this Grammy told him to put in a handful and he put in probably a cup of shredded cheese. We laughed about that for quite awhile because “Grammy you didn’t specify how big of a handful LOL”. We also go to watch Shreck Halloween Scary Cartoons before it was time to take him home.
We also started something new this week, with Alex and Treyson (in red)
instead of both boys coming to spend the evening with me, only one of them will come (less fighting and more individual time) and tonight was Treyson’s turn so I picked him up at the Methodist church where his Pop Pop’s and Chris were for Scouts. After getting back to the trailer we finished watching a movie from a couple of weeks ago, then played Uno and a round of Dutch Blitz ~ needless to say, this Grammy doesn’t win often with these two!!!
Well I guess that’s all from here for now ~ need to get to my Bible study and prepare for the job interview tomorrow. Sure would appreciate your prayers at 8:30a in the morning!!!
