I want to start with Thanksgiving ~ I only had one episode of low blood sugar in the night last night!!! And I slept pretty well and didn’t find the need to push the snooze button went off this morning ~ that is a good sign for me as it means I think I got enough sleep AND that’s a big thing!!
As I began my quiet time this morning I opened my Freedom lesson only to find I had completed the whole lesson for Thursday’s class! So I opened my laptop to read one of the many devotions I get via email each day (no I don’t read all of them every day LOL). I opened the Verse for Today

Part of the lesson included this statement “Forgiveness isn’t merely an act we do for others; it’s a transformative experience that liberates us from the shackles of bitterness and resentment” which is what we talked a lot about at our coffee time earlier this week and I just had to smile and chuckle and think “Lord, you use so many little things to bring my focus onto what I need to address. So let’s dive in!”
I opened my Bible (I’m using the Battlefield of the Mind Bible by Joyce Meyer ~ amplified version) and I began reading…the following all caught my attention for one reason or another ~
32 Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave [a]you. (amplified version).
- [readily and freely] ~ be ready, I need to be ready to open my heart and my eyes to what Poppa God wants me to learn, to how the Holy Spirit can guide me IF I allow him – to be ready and freely open!!!
- from Keys to a Victorious Life ~ In God’s order, right thinking comes first and right action follows. Reminded of “take every thought captive and think on those things that are pure!”
- It’s important to “having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude” ~ so many reminders and arrows pointing me to remember that attitude is so important and I have a choice about my attitude!
- Reading in Ephesians 4:26-27 – “be quick to forgive, don’t let the enemy even get a foothold in my behavior.”
- Poppa God’s purpose in my life is to bring us all into the fullness of what Jesus died to give us ~ He works with us to bring us to maturity, to mold us into His image! My purpose is to love others!
My prayer this morning: Lord help me to choose an attitude of love, kindness and care for others. Help me to focus on how much I am loved by You and that allows me to love on others. Thank you for this new day, new opportunities to share you with others and to remember I am loveable, I am loved, I am valuable and I am valued! Amen

What are you focusing on today? My focus is loving myself as Christ loves me and loving others as Christ loves you and me!
