Good morning on this beautiful sunny Saturday! We all slept in till after 8:00; I don’t know about Chris or Ron but I slept well! I know I have slept hard when I wake up with drool on my pillow ~ I know TMI!!!
In my devotional this morning I am reminded to share everything with God: my struggles and feelings, my fears and desires ~ everything! *
One of the funny things both Ron and I have noticed while house and pet sitting ~ we get lost when we have so much room…there are two bathrooms in the main part of the house, how can that be?? And yet when we are sitting we find ourselves sitting right next to each other on the couch ~ we just love being together.
This morning Ron and Chris are off to the park to play basketball and spend time together ~ today I give thanks for bringing us back to Florida and we get to spend time with the grands, Chris, Treyson & Alex and the good conversations with Brandon & Danalyn. Don’t get me wrong ~ I love chatting with Jamie and our Washington family on the phone but there is just something about an “in person” chat!
Life continues to have struggles but I’m finally realizing or admitting to myself that struggles in life are just part of life. It’s how I/we react to those struggles contributes to whether or not we see life as hard.
I’m thankful for friends who have reminded me to seek for and to be content ~ I pray that for myself each day and remind myself to not complain! That has really been a biggy for me ~ being intentional about my thoughts!
And if you are wondering about the prime rib ~ it turned out okay, a bit tough but Ron thinks it was because it had a bit of freezer burn on it. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying it!!!
As you can tell, I am still working on the format of my blog…I know what I want it to look like I am just having a difficult time getting the vision from my brain to the blog. Big THANKS to Lita for her pointers and links about the “how to” of WordPress ~ the green is gone!!! But just like I am work in progress as the daughter of the King ~ my blog continues to be a work in progress too!
